“In fact, taking care of others, helping others, ultimately is the way to discover your own joy and to have a happy life.”
Dalai Lama
This month I have decided to have my family make a JOY list. These are lists of things that we love to do that bring us joy, things we want to do, and people who bring us joy.
Some examples from my son (age 3) are – giving sister a hug, playing with sister, going on a horse ride with daddy, putting puzzles together with Mommy and playing in the snow and eating it.
A few from my list are – seeing my husband read to our kids, baking with the kids, watching the kids get pulled around on the sled with the horse, having time with my friends and eating delicious food!
When we started to make these lists we really started to find more and more things and people that bring us so much joy.
What a great way to start off the month of December!
This is a challenge to you. Can you sit down with your kids, husband, and family and ask them what brings them joy. Write it down and when they are having a bad day, or you are having a rough day, take them out and read them. I bet this will at least make you smile.
Let me know how it goes, or if your kids say something hilarious! I believe in all of you!

We should find a bit of joy everyday!!
Make that list and check it twice everyday. Just think how happy and peaceful you made your day.
Such a wonderful idea. ❤️
